MacKay Family Headquarters
MARRIED TO MY MASTER: A Bad Boy Hitman RomanceMacKay Family Headquarters is the casino on the fifteenth floor that the MacKay family turned into its principal base of operations. The location is both a working center within a wider network of businesses and the setting of the violent takeover that leaves Mickey MacFarland in control of the family.
The Casino and the Family’s Network
The MacKays maintain covers across town, including casinos, bars, laundries, and electronics stores. Among those locations, the casino is the favored one of Cormac MacKay’s father; that preference makes it more than another business in the network, and it comes to be known as the compound and used as the family’s operational base.
The casino occupies the fifteenth floor. The account identifies its height and function but does not detail its layout beyond Moira MacKay’s hiding place in a closet. Its rooms and business setting become the backdrop to a sudden assault on the family’s established order.
Mickey’s Takeover
Moira had planned to meet Mickey for coffee at the compound. Instead, Mickey arrived carrying a large firearm, identified in the exchange as a shotgun. With noise outside, Cormac’s father ordered Moira to hide; she took shelter in the closet as the attack unfolded.
From there, Moira heard and witnessed enough to understand that Mickey had killed her father. She later told Cormac MacKay what had happened, warning him that Mickey had become Don and taken over the family. The casino’s importance thus shifts abruptly: the place associated with their father’s authority becomes the site where that authority is destroyed.
Aftermath and Significance
When Moira relayed the news, men associated with Mickey entered the room where she was speaking to Cormac. Cormac recognized them as mob men and understood their arrival as confirmation that his father was dead and Mickey’s takeover was real. He ended the call by telling Moira to stay where she was and keep safe, while resolving to get himself and Scarlet O’Bannon away.
MacKay Family Headquarters therefore marks the break between the family’s former leadership and Mickey’s new regime. Its ordinary function as a casino cover and its status as the compound converge in one turning point: a familiar base of operations becomes the place where Moira survives by hiding and Cormac learns that the family—and his own safety—has changed.
